The classic three-piece tailored suit is an ideal choice when the bride’s dress is not exactly traditional, in terms of shape or colours. It is also the perfect option for a groom who prefers a suit he can wear on other occasions, or who conceives the suit only in its traditional form.
The classic suit is a single-breasted model, featuring trousers with a classic cut and without a cuff at the bottom. It may feature one, two or three buttonholes, or two buttonholes accommodating three buttons. Patch pockets are entirely unsuitable; welt pockets are perfect. The classic suit requires a white cotton shirt, which may be worn with a tie or dress cravat. Black lace-up shoes are ideal for any combination. Shades vary, although dark colours are preferred, such as grey and blue, which may be complemented with a silk waistcoat in a contrasting colour. Light-coloured suits are an excellent option for outdoor weddings, or for weddings on a particular theme.
